Robert R. Wiener

Robert R. (Bob) Wiener turned a small, local real estate company that his father and grandfather established in New York in 1936 into a prosperous and successful organization that now operates throughout the United States. For more than 5 decades, he has transformed the business into one of the most prominent real estate companies in the U.S., expanding to 7 states and 17 U.S. cities with more than 10,000 residential units and several commercial projects.

Over the past 25 years, three of Bob’s five children, Eric, David and Andrew, have joined the company in senior management positions and while Bob still serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of MAXX Properties, its day-to-day management is now in the hands of the fourth generation of his family.

In addition to real estate, Bob is also an avid collector of geodes, known as “treasures of the Earth”. His vast collection from around the world has grown significantly over four decades and he currently shares these spectacular minerals with schools, museums and other public institutions both in the New York Metropolitan Area and throughout Israel.

Today, Bob also focuses on a wide range of philanthropic activities in New York, Colorado, and Israel, concentrating significantly on youth at risk.  He is a strong believer in leading by example, teaching each of his five children and (all 27!) of his grandchildren that the true purpose of life is to give back.
